Bielle

  • In Marie-Galante (Guadeloupe), the Bielle distillery has existed since the 19th century. Indeed, Bielle has always been a family business and has been taken over by different families over time: since 1975, Dominique Thiery has been at the head of Bielle, succeeding Paul Rameaux, his great-uncle. Bielle rum is made from 100% pure cane juice, giving it the name “Rhum Agricole”. In order to obtain the best results, the cane is harvested by hand, which is very rare these days. After grinding and distillation, the rum is aged in their cellar, sometimes for many years to obtain rich and gourmet rums. Bielle distillery specializes in spirits and produces white rum, amber rum and old rum, as well as liqueurs.
